Assembly robots are used for lean industrial processes and have expanded production capabilities in the manufacturing world. An assembly line robot can dramatically increase production speed and consistency. They also save workers from tedious and dull assembly line jobs.
Part Handling
Material handling refers to robotic arms moving production parts, typically on or off a conveyor belt or to hold a part in place for production. Machine tending is similar, but more specific, referring to a robotic arm to load and unload a stationary production machine.
Vision Inspection
Robotic-based vision inspection deploys robots with cameras and lighting mounted on the end effectors which automatically move to key inspection points of a subassembly to check specific features.
Loading and Unloading
Machine loading and unloading operations utilize a robot to load and unload parts at a production machine. This requires the robot to be equipped with a gripper that can grasp parts.
Material insertion
Leveraging speed and accuracy, the application use robot to pick electrical components from tray and insert them each into tiny holes of given printed circuit board (PCB).

Palletizing
Palletizing refers to the use of robots to automatically stack and organize items onto pallets for storage and transport. This process typically involves the use of robotic arms with grippers or suction cups to pick up and move items, as well as specialized software to control the movement and placement of the items on the pallet. Robot palletizing can improve efficiency and accuracy in warehouse and manufacturing operations.
Machining
Milling or drilling on parts/material to smoothen surfaces, deburring, drilling holes, or creating other kind of machined features.
Machine tending
Handling parts from conveyor, bin picking or other sources and place it into the machine for further processing e.g., milling or drilling.
Pre-machining
Removing large amounts of material rapidly to produce a part geometry close to the desired shape.
Cobots, or collaborative robots, are robots intended for direct human robot interaction within a shared space, or where humans and robots are in close proximity, completing tasks sequentially
